Friends have been telling me to blog for some time, but I was never really convinced that it's something that would interest me for some time. Of course, I like to read others' blogs, so maybe someone out there might like to read my random squiggles.
But did I actually want to journal my thoughts so publicly?
So what made me take this plunge? A blog I read this morning. There was this guy I knew in Engineering college, quite a cool dude. Rode a Yamaha 350, lived with his girlfriend, hardly attended college. Now he works in a big automobile company, and is still a biker. He writes, and writes well. I discovered quite an interesting side to his personality, and was pleasantly surprised. That led me to think... shouldn't I develop my writing? Something that always interested me, yet I've found less and less time for it as time went along. For who writes letters, or even non-work emails these days? It's SMS or two-line facebook messages or tweets. Its the days of short spurts. Now here I am back to the world of full words and sentences. Drawn out thoughts and discussions.
I don't know as yet which direction this blog will take. What do I write about? How often? Who is going to read it? I don't know. Lets see how the universe conspires.
